Stewardship and the road ahead

The Trauma Phenotype Model is freely available for scientific research and clinical use. No fees, no conditions — attribution is all we ask.

Stewardship of the model will be placed in a foundation (in formation). That foundation has a single mandate: to ensure that every next version of the list — whatever it becomes after countless iterations — is the most optimal one for the purposes of scientific research. To that end, trauma experts will be invited to help build the canonical version.

What the model is not: a product. The foundation guards against the model being appropriated for commercial ends. There is one official version, and it belongs to everyone who wishes to study it.

 

The model is a gift to science. But it is not yet a scientific gift.
