"Breaking boundaries"
And now we come to perhaps the most fun part of this project…
What happens when an artist builds on the work of others—on images and journeys already captured, on places made visible in the vast landscape of cyberspace?
Can something new emerge from that—and could it even find its way into a commercial context?
This project sets out to explore exactly that.
One possible direction is the creation of a gallery in which proceeds are shared equally: 50% to the artist, Hajo Theunissen, and 50% to the original YouTube content creator—provided they can be identified or choose to come forward.
At present, this aspect of the COVIDEOCATION project remains under active exploration.
Suggestions, ideas, and collaborations are welcome.
The images you see here are the result of years of wandering through cyberspace—through a world created by YouTube content creators, a world in which I take great pleasure staying.
