1. Determinanten (Oorzaken van Type X Trauma)  A t/m Z

A - Addiction: Were your parents or caregivers addicted to substances or behaviors (e.g., alcohol, drugs, gambling, work)?

B - Bullying: Were you bullied during your childhood?
 
C - Caregiver Reliability: Did you feel that your caregivers were reliable and present when you needed them?
 
D - Divorce: Did your parents divorce or separate during your childhood?
 
E - Education: Did you have significant difficulties or frequent changes in your schooling?
 
F - Financial Instability: Did you grow up in a financially unstable environment?
 
G - Grief: Did you experience significant loss or bereavement during childhood?
 
H - Health Issues: Did you or your immediate family members have serious health issues?
 
I - Isolation: Did you feel isolated or lack social connections during your childhood?
 
J - Judgmental Environment: Were you raised in a highly judgmental or critical environment?
 
K - Knowledge Deprivation: Were you deprived of educational opportunities or intellectual stimulation?
 
L - Lack of Affection: Did you experience a lack of physical affection or warmth from caregivers?
 
M - Mental Illness: Did your parents or caregivers suffer from mental illness?
 
N - Neglect: Were you neglected in terms of basic needs like food, clothing, or shelter?
 
O - Overprotection: Were your parents or caregivers overly protective or controlling?
 
P - Physical Abuse: Did you experience physical (non-sexual) abuse?
 
Q - Quarreling: Did you frequently witness intense arguments or fights at home?
 
R - Relocation: Did you move frequently, causing instability?
 
S - Sexual abuse: Did you experience physical sexual abuse?

T - Trauma Exposure: Were you exposed to traumatic events, such as accidents or violence?
 
U - Unavailability: Were your parents or caregivers often unavailable due to work or other commitments?
 
V - Violence: Did you witness or experience violence in your home or community?
 
W - Witnessing Domestic Abuse: Did you witness domestic abuse in the household?
 
X - Adoption: Have you been adopted as a child? 
 
Y - Yearning for Attention: Did you frequently feel a yearning for attention that was unmet?
 
Z - Zero Boundaries: Did you grow up in an environment with poor or nonexistent boundaries?

3. Final step: Determining the severity of the driver and current  coping mechanism


A-Z f = related to father (e.g. Af)

A-Z m = related to mother (e.g. Am)

A-Z f1 = related to father, severity 1 (1 is the least severe 3 the most severe)

A-Z m2 = related to mother, severity 2

A-Z 3 = related to father and mother, severity 3

0-9 1 = Coping mechanism, severity 1
0-9 2 = Coping mechanism, severity 2
0-9 3 = Coping mechanism, severity 3
 
Example: Af3 = Addiction in the father with severity level 3 (highest level / worst addiction)

Example: I1 (capital i and number 1) = Having felt  isolated or lacked social connections during childhood to some degree that’s worrisome, but not to the degree of ‘going mad’ (which would be level 3). 

Letters and numbers of entire trauma fenotype are written together, with no spaces in between. 

Last digit, after dash, is the version number of the AZ09, which will be evolving for some time.

0 - Intimacy Issues: Do you struggle with intimacy or have a fear of commitment?
 
1 - Authority Issues: Do you have difficulty dealing with authority figures?
 
2 - Social Withdrawal: Do you tend to withdraw from social interactions?
 
3 - Addiction Problems: Do you have issues with addiction (e.g., substances, gambling, work, sport, shopping, porn (sex))?
 
4 - Emotional Numbness: Do you often feel emotionally numb or detached?
 
5 - Overachievement: Do you tend to overachieve or be a perfectionist as a coping mechanism?
 
6 - Trust Issues: Do you have difficulty trusting others?

7 - Anxiety and Panic: Do you frequently experience anxiety or panic attacks?
 
8 - Depression: Do you struggle with feelings of depression?
 
9 - Anger Management: Do you have difficulty managing anger or tend to have frequent outbursts?
